Born in Ivory Coast, I have lived in several West African countries as well as Madagascar. Immersed in spices and travel since childhood, I decided to transition from my profession as a lawyer to that of a spice sourcer.

This is how MAISON BARTHÈS was founded in 2016.

ONE GOAL: Identify and work directly with local producers

Madagascar became an obvious choice, an island embedded in my DNA... so many years spent traveling across it since my adolescence...

 

Madagascar's rich soil offers spices of rare quality.

After identifying producers who work with respect for the land they cultivate, I established sustainable and equitable partnerships with them, and that's how the adventure began.

After numerous trips to Asia, Turkey, and West Africa, I have been able to enrich the range I currently offer you, always seeking the finest spices, and this while respecting the producers, without whom nothing would be possible.

Passionate about gastronomy, I have forged strong relationships with my professional clients over the past few years, primarily consisting of Chefs.

My childhood abroad and my culinary heritage naturally led me to create my own spice blends for all cuisines of the world.
