Recette du Banana bread
I would like to share with you the recipe from my friend Céline who introduced me to Banana bread a few years ago now and which I still enjoy eating with the same pleasure . The Maison Barthes vanilla pod is so beautiful that in addition to being a double use as I specify in the recipe, you can taste all the vanilla seeds when you eat it! I love it!!  

Ingredients :

–Three very ripe bananas
–160 g of blond sugar
–195 g of flour
–three eggs
–a teaspoon of baking powder
–a teaspoon of baking soda
–a homemade Barthes vanilla pod
–125 g of butter
–A tablespoon of agave syrup or golden syrup
–A tablespoon of rum,
–A tablespoon of cane sugar syrup

Preheat the oven to 180°, melt the butter and mix it with the sugar and agave syrup.
Add the eggs one by one and mix. Pour in the flour, baking powder, and baking soda.
Split the pod in half and scrape out the seeds to add to the dough.

Mash the bananas with a fork and pour this puree into the batter.

Pour into a cake tin.
Bake for 45 min at 180°

Mix the tablespoon of rum with the cane sugar syrup
When it comes out of the oven, remove the cake from the mold and brush the top of the still-hot cake with rum.

It's ready!

You can then use the split pod to infuse milk, for example for vanilla cream.
